St. Louis new homes and condos come in many shapes and sizes and many different kinds of neighborhoods. The St Louis builder community is dominated by local builders with national builders not having much of a presence. This is unusual for metro areas around the U.S. but fits the "small town" nature of St Louis.
Like everywhere else in America, St Louis builders suffered as a result of the housing market downturn that began in late 2007. However, under Pres. Obama it begun to recover and under Pres. Trump it has continued to recover. New home construction has increased so St Louis new homes for sale are increasing in inventory.
Let Clay Realty Group, which is very familiar with the St Louis new home market, represent you!
Many buyers make the mistake of coming to display homes and talking with sales people who are representing the builder. They establish rapports with those sales people and end up buying homes directly from them (sometimes thinking this will even save them money). Don't make this mistake! Although such people are usually very fine people, they are not representing you. They are representing the builder and are obligated to do what is in their best interests, not yours. What you should do is get a Buyers Agent who represents you. Normally you don't directly pay to be represented by a Buyers Agent since they are paid out of the commission being offered by builders, so why go it alone?
